Week 16

Happy Friday!
There are a ton of great takes below, including a nod to a LinkedIn live session coming up this morning.
Let’s get right into the takes!
Happy reading,
Brian
Take of the Week:
Ashley wrote about how the model of big agencies isn’t working anymore. I agree with this to an extent, but it’s not as cut and dry as big agency vs. small agency. I think a Head of Comms/CCO needs to look at their needs, the actual output for their company, the reporting metrics that matter and how many eyes, ears and hands they need to wrap around all of this work. It’s possible that after such analysis, they’ll realize that they don’t need a “big” agency, but they need more work than the typical freelancer/consultant can provide. There is a middle ground in those smaller to middle sized firms, and often times companies considering the bigger agencies will go from being one of their smallest clients to one of those small/mid sized firms’ bigger clients.
I don’t usually do this, but this is an important conversation and continues at 10:30 on LinkedIn, the details can be found here: https://www.linkedin.com/events/davidvsgoliath-howsmallagencies7328767937115258883/comments/
